Kelly completed a degree in kinesiology from Queen’s University in Kingston Ontario, with one year abroad at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom. She then completed a nursing degree from Queen’s. Upon graduation, Kelly started working at SickKids. She worked for one year on the Multi-organ Transplantation, Nephrology, Rheumatology, GI/Nutrition/Hepatology, Endocrinology, and GIFT Unit. After this year, Kelly spent 3 months working on the Bone Marrow Transplant unit to gain some experience in haematology and oncology. In September 2014 Kelly switched to the emergency department at Sickkids where she is still working full time. Kelly has some teaching experience as well as the clinical instructor for PSW students from George Brown College. She is excited to gain some experience outside of the hospital and work with some amazing families and a terrific team of doctors at Kindercare Pediatrics.
